Let's first look at what most agents propose and use $500,000.00 as the sale price to demonstrate savings for the listing side.

If an agent asks for 3% for the listing side:
$500,000.00 x 3% = $15,000 commission to the listing agent

If an Agent asks for 2.75% for the listing side:
$500,000.00 x 2.75% = $13,750 commission to the listing agent

NOW LETS LOOK AT THE DISCOUNT COMPARISON:

If an Agent asks for 1.75% for the listing side:
$500,000.00 x 1.75% = $8,750 commission to the listing agent

That is a $6,250 savings over a 3% agent
